In 1960, Dr. R.K. Somany envisioned better-built Indian homes at a time when the country relied on imported materials. He founded Hindustan Twyfords Ltd. in collaboration with Twyfords UK to manufacture world-class sanitaryware in India, for India. It wasn’t just a company—it was a startup, built on risk, grit, and bold ambition.

Building on the foundation laid by Dr. R.K. Somany, Mr. Sandip Somany transformed the group into a diversified enterprise with leadership across home innovation, packaging, and infrastructure.
Under his stewardship, Hindware became a nationally trusted brand, while strategic restructuring led to the creation of publicly listed companies such as AGI Greenpac and HHIL. In 2024, the next generation stepped forward as Shashvat Somany launched SIG Tattva to back early-stage B2B innovators.
